HOOPS you say?? With the recent changes in IDPH & IHSA guidelines - we are going to have a basketball season!! HOWEVER...it comes with restrictions. Unfortunately, we are not able to meet guidelines for spectators, so at this time spectators will not be allowed to watch games from the friendly bleachers of Inman Court. All home games will be live-streamed on our Facebook Page. Shout out to Coach Abbott & Coach Torman as they lead our HS Boys Basketball team into their season opening Little 10 Conference Tournament. The Panthers' first round of play begins Tues, 2/9 - 6:00pm at LaMoille against the Lions. Information to follow if that game will be streamed! Attached are links to the HS Boys Basketball, HS Girls Basketball, and MS Girls Basketball schedules. Our HS Girls are participating on the Somonauk Lady Bobcats Hoops squad - and they begin their season TOMORROW, opening their season at Serena @ 3pm. (Good luck to our own Brynn P in your hs hoops career!) This is a GREAT document that helps explain viruses, COVID-19, and testing differences. Please take a few minutes to read through it, it may help answer many of your questions. Mrs. Moore has done a fantastic job of working hard to enable Leland CUSD 1 to become one of the ISBE pilot districts administering the Rapid Result Antigen Tests. Over the last several weeks we have issued nearly 100 tests. One thing remains consistent: having the Physician Order on file will help reduce quarantine time for symptomatic students, staff and family members. Remember: you cannot reduce quarantine time for a POSITIVE result OR for close-contact to a positive case* Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M0zqBkAYvxMjKM1WGfarClWgKRpIRnI6PPFtm_7J8Ac/edit?usp=sharing It saves time to have the paperwork from your doctor on file ahead of time!

Happy New Year Panthers! I hope this finds you safe & healthy. There seems to be a bit of confusion with the calendar, I've had many people asking this weekend. If you are using the mobile version of our website, you are directed to the WRONG calendar. I will work with Mr. Bland and our website management company to get everything updated. Classes resume Wednesday, 1/6/21 - it will be a "B" day for our middle & high school students and the HS GREEN GROUP will be in-person. Here is the link to the most recent calendar that was amended/approved in November. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BADibbcf5aA1PqJTthhfJs1fohhFRVTAqRcy8Ksm-yw/edit?usp=sharing Reminder for those that signed up for meals this week: there will be delivery tomorrow for Mon-Wed (likely to be in afternoon). Please email if you have any questions! See you soon!
